Parquet Flooring

Parquet Flooring in Fulham and the London areas

Parquet Flooring has never missed the design mark, parquet has always been a timeless classic, installed for centuries in prestigious buildings and historical locations worldwide.

CHEVRON WOOD FLOORING

Chevron flooring is a pattern of rectangular blocks at a 35 or 45 degree angle, known as Hungarian point – due to the angled ends. The planks create a beautiful ‘V’ shape when the chevron wooden floor is laid, creating the distinctive lines this style of parquet is associated with. This eye-catching format is experiencing a real resurgence in popularity lately due to its clean lines and classic style, making it a design that truly stands the test of time.

Use of the design typical of chevron style flooring dates back thousands of years, with the first verified evidence of the pattern being recorded in 1800 BC in Greece. It became a favourite of the French nobility, who began experimenting with the style in the 17th and 18th century; however, it also feels perfectly in place within a modern setting, due to its sophisticated and linear geometric style.

Chevron wood floors can be worked seamlessly into any design to create the effect you desire, regardless of the complexity of your project.

HERRINGBONE PARQUET FLOORING

Parquet / Herringbone wood flooring originates from France and dates back to the mid to late 1600s, popular amongst the rich and the royal.

It was used to create patterns with small blocks of wood as the technology to make wide, stable engineered planks did not then exist.

Parquet / Herringbone is, essentially, small blocks of wood that are laid to create regular and geometric patterns to give the illusion of an interlacing effect. Parquet flooring is commonly laid in hallways and commercial spaces, such as hotels and offices.

Today, Parquet is made from various species of wood including walnut, oak, pine and maple, and it can be made from either solid or engineered wood, so there are very few restrictions if you want a parquet/ Herringbone wood floor in a specific colour or style.

MANSION WEAVE PARQUET FLOORING

Mansion Weave is an engineered wood parquet floor design.

It is made up of sections of polygons and small trapezoids that taper at one end. Mansion Weave is an intricately patterned floor for a more flowing appearance than traditional planks or tiles.

Moreover, this is a little less contemporary alternative to our similar-sized Broderie parquet.

Mansion weave is available in any of our 115 shades and is supplied pre-finished with a durable natural hard wax oil. Ultimately, this means minimal maintenance together with easy care and repair. Furthermore, we can also produce the floor with a maintenance-free low sheen natural polyurethane lacquer finish. As a result, the floor is extremely durable making it suitable for both commercial and residential projects.

In addition, the design makeup consists of five components consisting of the Polygons (Six-sided tiles) and four trapezoids.

Installation of the Mansion Weave should always be by using a glue-down method, fully bonding onto a suitable dry and level sub-floor with a flexible wood floor adhesive.
